Shaking things up with this week’s grooming products haul! The products I’ve mentioned so far come from the Birchbox subscription box but what about the ones I buy on a monthly basis and have incorporated into a grooming “routine”?
Most of the products I’ve picked up are based on design and what they offer to do for my skin or hair. I am trying to cling on to the remainder of my youth so I am trying out a lot more products. Who doesn’t want to look well into their 30s? :)
According to a report by Orbis Research, the male grooming products market is projected to grow at the rate of 5.23% during 2018-2023. Fellas, we can’t continue to use a bar of soap as a way to keep ourselves looking fresh. A little self-care will go a long way. Even if you’re not in a relationship, we have to bring our A-game to the playing field.
Cremo 2 in 1 Scrub Mask – Charcoal
Charcoal is all the rage right now. You’ve got it in masks, scrubs, and…drinks. Don’t worry you won’t be drinking anything this time. This particular item can be used either as a mark or scrub which helps get rid of the dead skin, unclogs pores by clearing out the dirt/oil, and minimizes the appearance of our pores. With the use of this product as a mask, you get more out of it. If you’re planning to use it as a scrub, make sure to wash your face at least twice for it to feel like it’s making a difference.

Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask
A social-first skincare line co-founded by social media influencers Marianna Hewitt and Lauren Gores Ireland. Launched in 2018, the duo hit it out of the park with the Jet Lag Mask. The concoction of Chestnut Extract, Vitamin C, and Niacinamide leaves your skin feeling silky smooth and refreshes your complexion. After a long night out or a late night of work, this mask will work wonders and make this your go-to product in case of emergencies. I would dare to say it’s our generation’s fountain of youth.

Kiehl’s Eye Fuel
Dark circles begone! Well, they disappear after a few uses on the area right under your eyes. Sleep deprivation, dehydration, sun exposure, and genetics can play a part into why the area under your eyes might start to get dark or puffy. This isn’t a miracle worker so it’s important to incorporate using it twice on the area. It feels light and brings a little moisture to the area. Infused with caffeine and Vitamin B, the product helps bring some much needed relief and coolness to the area.

Bevel Restoring Balm
Confession: I never did anything to my skin after I would shave my sorry excuse of a beard. This balm does a lot for such a little amount. If you’re prone to skin irritation or breakouts – this is a must have product in your medicine cabinet. The list of ingredients reads like a who’s who of skincare ingredients – shea butter for moisturizing and reducing blemishes, witch hazel to calm your skin, and tea tree oil to prevent skin irritation. After shaving, this balm will help your skin feel like it’s been to a five-star spa.

Duke Cannon News Anchor Pomade
This pomade is heaven in a jar. If you don’t like it, I will send you money for the remainder of the pomade. I’ve gone through multiple pomades that feel too heavy or aren’t strong enough for my black, thin, coarse hair that tends to be unruly but this has tamed the beast. Start off with a quarter-sized amount and work it through your hair. It feels natural, has a matte finish, and the protein blend gives it the medium-to-strong hold. Besides having great hair, a portion of the proceeds directly support veteran causes.
