It’s Memorial day weekend aka the unofficial start of summer! Am I the only one that thought summer started around this time? Ugh. Well, if you didn’t know..it starts June 21 (The Summer Solstice).  I am glad we cleared that up.

I am excited to share this playlist because it has one too many of my favorite songs. Disclaimer: I have a lot of favorites but you’ll deal with it.  Most of them just bring up specific memories or specific people…and it’s like whoa! A few of the songs below were designated by Billboard as the “Song of Summer” for their respective years.

I’ve included the Song of Summer from 1998 – 2018 and some of the contenders that didn’t quite make it to the top of the charts.  Let me know what you think of the playlist or if you had any songs you would add to it in the comments below.
